Hill Dickinson is fully committed to supporting charitable causes through fundraising, volunteering and pro bono work, across all our office locations in the UK and abroad.
Who we support
Since 2010 our UK
offices have been supporting the Community Foundation Network
(CFN), a national charity that helps us allocate funding,
volunteering and pro bono work to local projects and
communities at a grassroots level.
Our Piraeus office is supporting two charities:
- To Hamogelo Tou Paidiou (The smile of the child) which provides a safe haven for abused, abandoned and terminally ill children.
- Hara (Joy), a charity helping individuals with special needs, and you can read more about Hara here.
With the help of CFN, we are supporting a number of local charities through fundraising initiatives, volunteering and pro bono work in 2011.
Looking back
In 2010 Hill Dickinson
celebrated its 200th year in business under the banner of 'a bright
future built on strong foundations'. Over the course of 2010 we
utilised our 'strong foundations' to support our 'bright futures' -
disadvantaged children and young people in our local
communities.
This work was most recently recognised with a shortlisting for the Lloyd's List Awards Global 2011 in the Corporate Social Responsibility Award category.
Over 2008 and 2009 we supported WaterAid, raising over £53,000 to help fund projects in Nepal. One specific project was entirely funded by Hill Dickinson, in Beldanda village, located in Gorkha district of Western Nepal.

Hill Dickinson has also made donations to causes including the humanitarian crisis in Haiti raising £1440 for UNICEF's Haiti Earthquake Children's Appeal. We've also raised funds for MS Trust, TSUK, Meningitis UK, the NSPCC, Med Equip4kinds, Age Concern, Christies, Francis House Children’s Hospice, Sparks, WaterAid and Children in Need to name but a few.
Supporting our people
We support all Hill
Dickinson people in their charitable endeavours, including those
undertaken outside work. Many of our people volunteer and offer pro
bono work to a wide variety of charities, including the Samaritans,
Citizens Advice Bureau, the RNLI and the Legal Advice Centre at the
University of Manchester.
