Supporting our communities
Hill Dickinson
seeks to support each of the communities in which the firm
operates. We recognise the importance of engagement and active
citizenship. As a result, we strongly encourage employees to take
up school governorships, trusteeships, non-executive directorships
and voluntary and honorary roles with charities and community
projects.
Sustainable support
We provide sustainable support, not only financially, but also by
mentoring and establishing volunteering schemes, to our local
communities. In order to achieve this, we have established a
partnership with the Community Foundation for Merseyside by
providing an initial endowment fund which is valued at £25,000.
The Community Foundation for Merseyside
The foundation works with local businesses, connecting them with
community projects that otherwise may go unrecognised. During the
last ten years the foundation has distributed £30 million to
8,000 community projects across Merseyside.
Corporate Philanthropy Award
In June
2010 Hill Dickinson was awarded Corporate Philanthropy
Award at the Spirit of Merseyside Awards 2010. The accolade is
awarded to the corporate partner of the Community Foundation that
has made a significant difference to communities across Merseyside
by embracing the values of philanthropy.
