ISO quality management

A good quality management system guarantees the consistency and ongoing improvement of working practices. It also ensures that products and services meet client requirements. ISO 9001:2000 is the most commonly used international standard. It offers a framework for effective quality management, and is recognised throughout all sectors of business and industry.

Hill Dickinson has been registered with ISO 9001 since 1997. To retain the ISO certificate, the firm has to maintain an annual schedule of internal audit against procedures based on the Law Society's code of conduct and accepted legal best practice. This must also comply with the ISO standard. Both levels of compliance are monitored by six-monthly visits from our assessing body, the British Standards Institute.

Adherence to agreed procedures by all staff, and in particular a real commitment to the principles of client care at all levels, are key elements of the firm's risk management. The firm’s certification with ISO 9001:2008 demonstrates the seriousness of this commitment.
