Background
After completing my
HRM degree, I embarked on a career in HR. Having working within
recruitment based roles at both MBNA and Unilever, I made the
decision to direct my HR career into a more generalist HR role,
allowing me the flexibility to develop my skills across the range
of HR disciplines. As such, I spent a period of time in a
generalist role at Mersey Television before moving on to join Hill
Dickinson. At the same time I also made the decision to undertake
my Graduate CIPD qualification to better equip me to work in this
area.
Career at Hill Dickinson
I
initially joined the HR team at Hill Dickinson to provide HR
administration support and to look at co-ordinating and developing
administration processes within the HR team. Since then, I
have moved on to provide specific HR support to the firm's business
support function, which provides the opportunity for me to get
involved with a whole range of HR activities at various
levels.
What is life like at Hill
Dickinson?
Working at Hill Dickinson has been a great
career decision for me. In its supportive environment, it has
provided me with the opportunity to develop my skills both within
my role and through supporting my external studies. In addition, I
have been able to develop key working relationships and have made
some close friends.
