Background
Before joining Hill Dickinson I had actually had no previous work experience in the IT industry. I was working as a chef since leaving school, and I thoroughly enjoyed the job and the challenges it brought with it. However I had always had a keen interest in computing outside of work, and I took the decision to turn that hobby into a career. I haven’t regretted the choice I made, and I have been here nearly three years now.

Career at Hill Dickinson
I started at Hill Dickinson in October 2006. I am an IT desktop analyst and work with an amazing team of people who always offer help and support. Since I have been here I have sat a number of IT courses and exams that have been offered to me and I have now have Comptia and Microsoft certification to name but a few. The firm has also offered me the chance to travel. One of the best experiences was working in our London office during a merger. This was incredibly exciting as I had only been at Hill Dickinson for about two months yet was part of such an important move for the firm.

What is life like at Hill Dickinson?
Life at Hill Dickinson is always an enjoyable challenge. For me personally no two days are ever the same, something always comes up to get those grey cells going! For quite a large firm it has a small family feel to it. The people are friendly and working in IT you find you get to know people very well as they are always finding stranger ways to break their computers only for you to come along and fix them. I have built some great friendships thanks to working here and have learned valuable skills thanks to the support offered. The people I work with make it a great place to work.
