High value property and business interruption claims are complex and regularly require analysis of insurance policies.
The team also handles subrogated recovery claims on behalf of insurers arising from damage to property from a variety of sources.
Recent examples include defending flood claims brought by 11 householders who alleged that their properties had suffered flood damage as a result of sewer relining works.
A further example of the work undertaken by the team is in respect of a claim against a software manufacturer whose alleged defective software is said to have caused personal injury in a young offender’s institution. The defect in the software prevented an early alarm system which it is said would have averted the attack on the member of staff.
