Hill Dickinson’s regulatory group provides specialist advice in respect of EU and UK environmental law on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Contentious matters include advising on prosecutions brought by the various regulatory bodies. These bodies can include the Environment Agency, local authorities, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency or DEFRA. Our role includes attending PACE interviews, advising on interviews and advocacy in the magistrates' court.
In non-contentious matters the team advises individuals (directors) and companies on compliance with EU and UK legislation, and on drafting issues in commercial contracts that relate to the environment.
