Hill Dickinson is the sole provider of legal services to the Veterinary Defence Society Limited (VDS) in England. This organisation is the professional indemnity insurer to the majority of veterinary surgeons in the UK.
The team deals with the whole range of civil matters, from small claims to complex multi-track cases.
We also represent veterinary surgeons in disciplinary proceedings before the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and provide advice on matters before the Preliminary Investigation Committee of the RCVS.
In addition to litigation and disciplinary affairs, the team advises on policy issues. We can assist on matters involving DEFRA, the RSPCA and the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
