failing to advise on limitation in an underlying claim against a
firm of surveyors for negligent valuation of key land
Following determination of the preliminary issue in Kajima UK
Engineering Limited v Underwriter Insurance Co Ltd, Kajima sought
recovery of over £4 million from their professional team. We
acted for one of the project engineers.
We defended a claim against a barrister for compensation for
loss of liberty by a convicted criminal whose sentence for supply
of drugs was eventually quashed on appeal. The case raised
novel issues of public policy and loss of opportunity to avoid
conviction.
We are acting in defence of a claim by well-known house
builders against an international firm of engineers who are
pursuing substantial losses, allegedly arising from the
construction of some 400 residential dwellings
