firm of surveyors for negligent valuation of key land
Following determination of the preliminary issue in Kajima UK
Engineering Limited v Underwriter Insurance Co Ltd, Kajima sought
recovery of over £4 million from their professional team. We
acted for one of the project engineers.
We defended a claim against a barrister for compensation for
loss of liberty by a convicted criminal whose sentence for supply
of drugs was eventually quashed on appeal. The case raised
novel issues of public policy and loss of opportunity to avoid
conviction.
