Litigation

Construction cases are often high value. Despite the use of standard form contracts, every building is unique and so are the issues that may arise. Cases often involve several parties with complex claims for contribution between them. Collateral warranties and insurance can make cases even more complicated.

Hill Dickinson is well placed to handle the special demands of litigation relating to construction work. We advise on the full range of construction-related disputes where litigation is required. However, we will always advise if other approaches - such as mediation - may be appropriate. Our expertise includes:

  • Final account disputes
  • Defects
  • Extension of time and delay claims
  • Loss and expense
  • Liquidated damages
  • Adjudication enforcement
  • Injunctions
  • Insolvency proceedings, including winding up

As a result of our experience members of the team have been involved in a number of high profile cases.
