Human Rights Law / Public Law
Within the Hill Dickinson health team is a specialist group advising on the Human Rights Act and its far-reaching implications for NHS and health sector clients. The team also has specialist knowledge and experience with bringing and defending claims for judicial review.
Areas of expertise include:
- Coroner's inquests engaging Article 2 (‘Right to Life’)
- Claims for compensation for breaches of the Human Rights Act, for example under Articles 2,3,5 and 8
- Lectures to NHS staff at all levels on the implications of the Human Rights Act
- General advice including the effect of the Human Rights Act on commissioning, policies and employment
- Judicial review
