International law firm, Hill Dickinson, is hosting its 2011 developers’ conference at Sheffield United Football Club on 13 September 2011. The focus for the debate this year will be the Localism Bill and how it will affect the property and construction industry.
The conference, which has previously attracted over 100 property professionals, will begin with registration at 08.30 and a welcome from property partner at the firm, Alastair Reid at 9am. John Holmes, head of planning for Hill Dickinson, will deliver the first section, which will focus on the Localism Bill and illustrate how it will bring about the most significant change to planning for over 60 years. John will also explore aspects of the Bill, such as how it can give local authorities more power over planning and finances.
Three additional presentations will be given by, legal director Bill Chandler, and Alan Pugh and Kevin Lee, both partners at Hill Dickinson. They will focus on issues such as Rights to Light and how developers can manage risks in order to protect their profits.
Alastair Reid commented: "This promises to be a fantastic conference for the industry and we look forward to welcoming our guests to Sheffield United. In the past we have received excellent feedback from attendees at the developers’ conferences, who have said that they provide a timely and insightful viewpoint into key issues faced by the property industry."
