International law firm Hill Dickinson has announced John Barlow has joined its professional risks team in London.
John joins the practice from Chadbourne & Park, where he was partner for four years. John advises financial institutions and project companies on political risk, sovereign guarantee, credit default and protracted payment insurances. He has also advised British government departments on the insurance aspects of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) projects.
Hill Dickinson partner and head of professional risks Ruth Lawrence commented: “John is a significant lateral hire for us in London. He is a well-respected individual in his field and his arrival greatly increases the capacity of the London team and further enhances our specialist lines insurance practice.”
John said: “As a financial institutions practice, my appointment brings a completely different offering to Hill Dickinson’s professional risks team, an offering which complements certain aspects of the business such as the professional indemnity and the regulatory sides. Hill Dickinson is an ambitious firm and I am looking forward to playing an integral role in its growth.”
John is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales.
