Michael joined the firm as a consultant in the business services team having qualified as a solicitor in 2005.

Details

Michael works primarily with high growth private companies and small-cap listed companies, particularly in the media, technology, life-sciences and resources sectors. Michael has extensive capital markets experience, and has lead a number of IPOs on the AIM market, the Standard Segment of the Main Board of London Stock Exchange and also the Aquis Stock Exchange, as well as advising listed clients on secondary fundraisings, reverse takeovers, schemes of arrangement, takeover offers, tender offers, rights issues, general M&A and private equity.

Michael completed his law degree at Birmingham University (1998-2001) and went on to complete his LPC at The College of Law.

    • Advised Agronomics Limited on its listing on the AIM Market, secondary funding, and subsequent investments in companies developing clean meat products and alternative protein
    • Advised FastForward Innovations Limited on its investment in EMMAC Life Sciences Limited, the first investment by an AIM listed company in a medical cannabis company
    • Advised Juvenescence Limited on its Series A and Series B financings, raising approximately US$170 million in aggregate
    • Advised Emmerson PLC on its Reverse Takeover of Moroccan Salts Limited (owner of the Khemisset potash project in Morocco) and Readmission of shares to trading on the Standard Segment of the Main Board of London Stock Exchange
    • Advised Minds + Machines Group Limited on its Readmission to trading on the AIM Market and subsequent acquisition of ICM Registry
    • Advised SalvaRx Group PLC on its listing (by way of Reverse Takeover) on the AIM Market and subsequent disposal of its assets to Portage Biotech. Inc. for US$67.5m
