No one knows more about being busy than an in-house lawyer! We’d like to invite you to our next in-house lawyers webinar on Thursday 23 April, focusing on tackling chronic busyness at work.
Modern life is unrelentingly busy and, in many ways, it has become a badge of honour to reply ‘good but really busy’ when we are asked how we are.
However, constantly being busy can have a detrimental effect on our wellbeing and is different from being focused and productive. It sets a bad example for our colleagues and teams, and leads to competitive busyness where we are all noticing how much everyone is doing.
We are pleased to host this webinar with Lynsey Metcalfe – a freelance wellbeing specialist and trainer. Lynsey worked for over 15 years at a senior level in management consultancy before retraining in health and wellbeing. For nearly a decade she has run a holistic health practice, where she works in multiple mind/body disciplines to help people become healthier, more energised, focused and productive in life.
So, grab a coffee and join us for this practical and informative session as we explore issues around busyness and how to be more focused and productive. We will:
investigate the problem of chronic busyness, looking at why we feel we have to always be on the go and why our work and personal loads can seem overwhelming
examine the psychology behind the constant To Do list and then looks at some practical steps to make things more manageable
look at how to move away from ‘busyness’ into a more balanced life, where you can learn to switch off and recharge properly
This is an interactive session with polls and discussion.
The session will be a good opportunity to take a step back and will provide tips to help you provide greater value to your organisations.
We look forward to you joining us.
