Bryan O’Hare was interviewed* by Conventus Law on the potentially far reaching implications of a Hong Kong judgment - Li Kwok Heem John v. Standard Chartered International (USA) Limited [2016] HKCFI 6; HCA 498/2010 (5 January 2016) - which explored the extent of a bank’s liability when it sells financial products from a third party fund which was part of the Bernard Madoff Ponzi Scheme (a fraudulent investment scheme).
