Law firm Hill Dickinson has advised Paramount Retail Group on the acquisition of DB Food Group, one of the UK’s premium meat wholesalers. DB Food Group will sit within Paramount’s newly established vehicle for the acquisition, Paramount Food Group.

Dorset-based DB, one of the UK’s leading ethically sourced meat wholesalers, is recognised for its commitment and innovative approach to sustainability practices. The strategic acquisition reflects Paramount’s long-term commitment to the UK food industry and reinforces its dedication to supporting British farmers, providing a platform for investment, customer retention, operational integration and future expansion. As a result, DB Food Group’s £122 million turnover is projected to achieve in excess £200 million in revenue by the end of 2025.

The nature of the transaction saw Hill Dickinson field a cross-disciplinary Corporate and Restructuring team comprising Lemi McAuley (Restructuring), Sandip Khroud (Corporate), Tamanna Keir (Corporate), Elizabeth Wood (Restructuring) and Alice Rusling (Corporate).
