SysGroup has acquired Bristol-managed Independent Network Solutions in a deal that marks the Liverpool-headquartered IT service provider’s second acquisition in the space of just one month.

Independent Network Solutions – which trades as Orchard Computers - has been in operation for more than 30 years, with a public and private sector client base that largely covers the south-west of England.

Ian Gillis, partner, Sean Lightfoot, legal director, senior associate James Redshaw and paralegal Molly Lacey, all of Hill Dickinson’s Manchester Corporate team, advised SysGroup on the acquisition.

The completion of two acquisitions in the space of a month can be complex and fast-moving, but our longstanding relationship with the team at SysGroup allowed us to take advantage of favourable market conditions and proceed quickly on both. The addition of Independent Network Solutions to the Group has the potential to create promising new opportunities and we look forward to seeing their success moving forward.

The acquisition was funded from SysGroup’s existing cash resources and will further strengthen the group’s presence in the South West, while complementing operations in South Wales.

Ian Terry and Chris Patten of Orchard of Independent Network Solutions will remain with the company to assist with the handover of customer relationships and integration into SysGroup.
