International Women's Day #EmbraceEquity

In recognition of International Women’s Day, celebrated globally on 8 March, Hill Dickinson and Legal Women Magazine co-hosted a virtual one-hour event on Monday 6 March 2023.

The session focused on this year’s theme, #EmbraceEquity.

We discussed what this means with panel members including Jane Eme-Power, HR senior lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, Lesley Wan, general counsel at FBN Bank (UK) Limited and Jonathan Andrews, associate at Reed Smith. We also considered the difference between equality and equity, the importance of male allies and how to embed a culture that embraces equity in the workplace.
