Details

Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Peter was one of the five original founding partners of Nabarro, Manchester, and, and a partner at a further renowned firm. Peter has long been recognised as a leading individual by the legal directories…described by Legal 500 as providing ‘highly pragmatic, commercially astute legal advice…adept at responding to challenges’ and by Chambers as ‘an expert in regeneration and development’.

Peter specialises in all aspects of large-scale development and regeneration projects including complex site assembly, joint ventures and ‘vehicles’, development funding and investment for both private and public sector clients. Peter has particular expertise in mixed use, BtR/PRS, PBSA, retirement living, hotel and CPO-anchored development schemes, ‘income strip’ and forward funding/purchase transactions. Peter also has specialist expertise in structuring public sector involvement in land disposals, funding and/or development schemes so as to provide appropriate ‘solutions’ to accommodate and/or avoid (as appropriate) the various restrictions and obligations created by the public subsidy control (‘state aid’ as was), procurement, best consideration and funding regimes.

Peter has a degree in modern history (2.1). Working with a specialist procurement lawyer Peter is co-author of the Nabarro Guide to Land Development and Public Procurement.
