James is a taxation specialist. He has wide experience of advising individuals, trustees, entrepreneurs and their businesses in relation to a wide range of taxation issues including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.

Details

James is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. He advises clients in relation to their taxation affairs. James focuses on mitigating the exposure to UK taxation liabilities for clients so far as possible. He also assists in ensuring that the clients’ compliance requirements are up-to-date.

James works with a wide range of clients including individuals, executors, trustees entrepreneurs and their businesses, based both in the UK and overseas. He advises clients how to organise their affairs in such a way as to mitigate the exposure of their affairs and assets from the effect of UK taxation or to ensure that the affairs are structured in such a way as to maximise the availability of tax reliefs to the client.

James attended De Montfort University where he obtained an upper second honours degree in law. Upon graduation he joined the firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouse Coopers). During his time with them mainly in the tax team he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant and member of the Insitute of Taxation.
