David trained and worked at two international law firms before joining the firm. He also spent a significant period of time on secondment to Barclays Bank plc where he undertook the role of legal counsel within the bank’s global retail division.

David is a specialist employment lawyer with over a decade’s experience, his expertise includes:

  • Large-scale redundancy and change management projects
  • Restrictive covenants and confidential information

    • Advising a NYSE listed US manufacturing business on a large scale redundancy exercise in consequence of the closure of a major UK manufacturing site
    • Advising a FTSE 100 bank on employment matters, including the management of Employment Tribunal litigation and major outsourcing projects
    • Advising a global travel business on a cross-border outsourcing of services to the Philippines, including advice on TUPE and a redundancy exercise
    • Acting as an independent expert for a worldwide broadcaster in relation to complex grievance cases
    • Acting for a leading FTSE 250 fast moving consumer goods manufacturer on all employment law matters, including large-scale change management exercises
    • Advising a local authority on a £34 million long-term outsourcing project, including the implementation of a retention of employment and secondment model
    • Advising a manufacturer on the employment aspect of its purchase of the business and assets of a process engineering business out of administration
