Elizabeth is a legal director in the healthcare team in Manchester. She specialises in inquests with a particular focus on deaths in custody. Elizabeth has experience in all aspects of healthcare law, including advice on investigations and complaints to NHS trusts.

Details

Prior to joining the firm in October 2014, Elizabeth worked in group action litigation at an established law firm on behalf of insurers. Before qualifying, Elizabeth was a trainee at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors working on behalf of claimants in the serious injury team, clinical negligence team and public law team.

Elizabeth has been instructed by various NHS trusts throughout the North West to provide advice and support prior to an inquest taking place and also legal representation and advocacy at the inquest hearing itself. Elizabeth has also advised NHS organisations on investigations, patient complaint handling and lesson learning following serious patient safety incidents.
