About me

I’m a shipping law specialist, who focuses particularly on casualty work. The types of clients I represent include shipowners, charterers, ship managers, insurers, brokers and salvors.

The matters I advise on include casualties, salvage, unsafe port claims, bunker disputes, GA claim disputes, cargo claims, charterparty and bills of lading disputes, LOI related disputes, ship management disputes and procedural compliance for local and international regulations.

Solutions-orientated, I always see the bigger picture, using this insight to advise clients on how best to navigate any short- and long-term consequences and achieve the desired result.

A qualified Extra-Master Mariner, I have 13 years of sailing experience, equipping me with the insight to see things from my clients’ perspective, tailoring the advice I provide accordingly. I’m an expert in ice navigation, having several years of command experience on ice class vessels.

I’m extremely familiar with the Indian market, having an extensive history of working on India-related matters, so I have the expertise to help clients navigate the nation’s regulatory environment.

India is a nation which is close to my heart and I support orphan children there.
