About me

As a Senior Associate, Solicitor Advocate and Master Mariner in our Shipping team, I advise on marine casualties, collisions, groundings, salvage and contractual disputes. I combine legal expertise with 22 years’ seafaring experience in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and as Master on superyachts.

I’m trusted for my clear, accurate, and highly informed advice, grounded in navigation and operational practice. This has helped me advise on complex, high-value cases through settlement negotiation, mediation, arbitration and in the High Courts.

I’m a Younger Brother of Trinity House and sit on its Regional Grants Committee, I’m an Associate Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation and a Member of the Nautical Institute.

I enjoy travel and expanding my knowledge – The Power of Geography: Ten Maps that Reveal the Future of our World by Tim Marshall being one of my most recommended reads.
