About me
I’m a specialist in the regulation of health and social care services as well as specialist education services, covering areas such as CQC, Ofsted, health and safety, and fire safety.
I represent providers, investors and lenders across the health, social care and education sectors including care homes, specialist care providers, hospitals, clinics and children’s homes.
I make it my mission to understand my client’s priorities and ambitions, so I can provide tailored guidance that empowers them to reach favourable outcomes. The advice I provide can be proactive or responsive, helping clients prevent regulatory issues from arising or minimise the impacts when they do.
I also have extensive experience working for NHS bodies and key regulators, giving me insight from which I can help clients understand how the sector operates.
I find the passion leaders in the health and care sector have for improving the lives of others inspiring, and I consider it a privilege to help them achieve this.
I’m the parent of a child with special educational needs and disabilities, and, outside of work, have used my experiences to help others navigate processes such as EHCP and special school applications.

- Advised numerous health and social care providers facing investigations or prosecutions by the CQC
- Advised one of the UK’s prominent charitable providers of specialist care services in their appeal against the urgent imposition of CQC registration conditions, resulting in substantial concessions from CQC
- Advised and represented a household name care home group during a prosecution by the London Fire Brigade following a fatal fire, including in the Court of appeal
- Advised one of the UK’s largest care home groups in their successful judicial review of the CQC’s proposed Market Oversight Policy, preventing a significant lowering of the CQC’s threshold for public warnings of potential financial failure for social care providers
