About me

I’m a litigator who specialises in defending NHS clients in complex, high-value disputes, focusing particularly on those relating to neurological and brain injuries and catastrophic injury claims.

With me, clients can trust they’re in good hands. I take an empathetic approach, doing everything I can to make clients feel safe and protected so, together, we can work to achieve the best outcome.

Through various roles, I’ve been defending the NHS for over 30 years. This gives me a unique and invaluable insight into life in the NHS, which I use to ensure clients get the right support.

I love to challenge myself, whether that’s taking up something that doesn’t come naturally to me (like running!) or taking on tricky cases with complex circumstances or points of law. I find the intellectual challenge of helping clients navigate what can be a difficult time for them truly stimulating.

I’m passionate about passing on my knowledge to new generations of lawyers through coaching and training. I have a background in teaching law, having taught at undergraduate and post graduate level, and I act as a professional mentor to law students where I’m based in Liverpool.
