About me

My role is to help clients resolve commodities disputes that arise from international marine-based trade. As part of this, I advise clients on contractual issues as well as offer the support they need to settle disputes either in court or through arbitration.

I work with clients who operate across commodities supply chains, especially participants in international sales contracts, along with vessel owners, charterers and insurers.

My approach involves collaborating closely with clients to develop carefully considered legal solutions that reflect their commercial objectives and day-to-day practical realities, enabling them to achieve effective outcomes.

I’m here to support clients as matters evolve, always on hand to address challenges in real time and offer effective advocacy when it matters, so they have everything they need to succeed.

My experience

  • Supported claims in the Commercial Court and arbitration claims under LMAA and LCIA terms.
  • Supported arbitration claims under specific trade association arbitration rules such as those of the RSA, SAL, GAFTA, and FOSFA.
  • Spent three months on a client secondment with a company that trades both soft and hard commodities internationally
  • Completed the GAFTA Trade Foundation Course
