I specialise in shipping, international trade and marine insurance disputes, acting for shipowners, charterers and insurers across the international maritime and trade sectors.
My practice spans a wide range of wet and dry shipping matters, including charterparties, cargo claims, salvage, war-related issues and major marine casualties.
I’m experienced in matters crossing multiple jurisdictions, co-ordinating with international teams, clients, experts and correspondents to deliver effective results. I help clients navigate complex disputes and manage risk, often in time-sensitive situations involving substantial exposures.
I’m a strong advocate for widening access to the legal profession through mentoring and other initiatives that encourage greater inclusion.
My experience
- Has worked on complex arbitration and litigation proceedings, including a UK Supreme Court case which had significant implications for the marine insurance market.
- Acted in various high-profile maritime incidents including major marine casualties, vessel fires, cargo stow collapses and salvage matters as well as incidents affecting vessels operating in conflict zones, including vessels struck by missiles.
