About me
I’m a partner in our Commodities team and have advised on international trade and shipping law for more than 20 years, representing a range of clients, from major trading houses to more bespoke and niche trading companies.
My particular specialism is the softs market, which includes agriproducts and sugar, although I have experience across the full commodities spectrum.
Within that, my main focus is dispute resolution. I always take a proactive approach, so I also advise clients early on if a dispute is simmering and assist with forming and implementing a strategy designed to minimise their exposure. No two cases are the same and I thrive on the more complex problems that call for very detailed analysis alongside innovative solutions.
I aim to combine rigorous legal skill with a relationship-driven approach, and to distil complex legal principles into succinct advice that’s easily understood.
As a former sprinter who competed in the British League fixtures and made the Great Britain Junior Squad, I attribute the focus, drive and dedication I learned back then to my passion for the work I do now and my success in achieving partnership at the firm.
