About me

I’m a commercial property lawyer who’s an expert in retail, transport and utilities transactions. I typically work with retailers, landlords of retailers, transport companies (bus and rail) and utility companies (electricity, gas and water).

I’m strategic in the way I think, carefully analysing the needs and priorities of each client to determine what it is they need and where best to focus my attention. I have a talent for simplifying the complex, providing future-focused guidance that clients can rely on to attain the right result.

Few things are more rewarding than delivering the desired outcome, directly contributing to a client’s growth and success. That really is the goal for me, each and every time.

A North East lad who now lives in Liverpool, community is important to me as well. I like to contribute to local initiatives where I can and in the past, I’ve volunteered as a litter picker.

My experience

  • Retail – has acted for retailers (including a large national retailer) in relation to their property portfolio (new lettings, renewals, licences etc.) and has also acted for large landowners in relation to lettings to retailers.
  • Transport – has acted for national transport companies (bus & rail) in relation to their property assets and dealt with the acquisitions, disposals, and the management of their assets, along with lettings to retailers and other organisations providing services to passengers.
  • Utilities – has acted for electricity, gas and water companies in negotiating transfers, leases, licences and easements in relation to their apparatus. Has also assisted on the transfer of the property assets for a distribution network operator.
