About me

I help clients resolve disputes related to the carriage of goods and the logistics sector. This could include pursuing or defending cargo claims, handling ship arrests, dealing with customs and duty issues, managing international arbitration/court proceedings, and interpreting policy coverage.

Whether it’s with cargo insurers, transit liability insurers, recovery agents, freight forwarders or logistics companies, my goal is to provide practical, user-friendly advice and be proactive in identifying potential issues before they arise.

I am particularly interested in developments relating to smart data and its impact on the logistics sector and cargo underwriting business, and I have written and spoken extensively on this topic.

Before starting my training contract, I spent over three years working as a claims handler at a specialist recovery agent, pursuing subrogated cargo claims against carriers. Prior to this, I’ve also worked for a trade finance company in Lyon, France. My experience helps me to think from the client’s perspective and they appreciate the detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach I bring.

I really enjoy the cross-border nature of my work which allows me to build connections with contacts around the world. I’m originally from Hong Kong and am a native Cantonese speaker, so value that I get the opportunity to work from our Hong Kong office regularly.
