About me

I’m a lawyer specialising in the health and life sciences sectors so my clients typically include healthtech, medtech and life sciences businesses, NHS organisations, private hospitals and clinics, and academic and research institutions.

I advise on a wide range of matters such as technology contracts, joint ventures and collaborations, outsourcing and transactions and intellectual property matters.

I also advise my health and life sciences sector clients on regulatory matters, including compliance with MHRA and CMA requirements.

Healthtech and medtech are transforming the landscape and possibilities for health and patient care and it’s a privilege to play a part in helping to introduce innovation in the health and life sciences sectors for the benefit of patients, staff and the public.

With more than 20 years of experience in the legal healthcare sector, the opportunity to help clients deliver vaccine and technology solutions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic will forever remain a highlight of my career.

My experience

  • Advising an AIM-listed company which develops and commercialises the large-scale manufacture of synthetic DNA and nanoparticle delivery solutions on a range of distribution, master services agreements and material transfer agreements.
  • Advising on an AI-guided clinical coaching programme developed by UCL Partners and Health Navigator for addressing urgent and emergency care pressures in North East London.
  • Advising multiple clients on NIHR i4i and Innovate UK grant funded programmes for health research, including for The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust on arrangements with Guardant, a major US biologics company, including advising on ‘gaps’ in intellectual property risk and procurement research exemptions.
  • Advising Centre for Process Innovation, the leading independent technology innovation centre and founding member of the UK Government’s High Value Manufacturing Catapult, on its role in the Covid-19 Vaccines Taskforce project, as a core member of one of the consortia tasked with developing a vaccine, and subsequently on its role developing the Vaccines Library, as well as a range of complex regulatory issues.
  • Advising Genflow Biosciences PLC, a UK-based biotech firm with R&D facilities in Belgium, on intellectual property and contracting issues relating to its listing on the London Stock Exchange.
