About me

I’m an experienced real estate lawyer who helps national retailers, private equity funds and property developers navigate complex, high-value transactions.

Areas I advise on include strategic acquisitions, residential developments, industrial acquisitions and site set ups, as well as purpose-built student accommodation and landlord and tenant matters.

Clients describe me as pragmatic, commercial and detail-orientated. I act as the safe pair of hands my clients need to gain a sound understanding of the finer points of a transaction and get the deal done, offering the bespoke guidance required to reach a favourable outcome.

Helping young people access career opportunities and nurturing the next generation of legal talent are both important to me. I serve as the Leeds office liaison for our Schools’ Outreach Programme, which involves co-ordinating careers talks, careers fairs and interview practice with local schools.

My experience

  • Helmsley Group – helping deal with the large-scale complex assembly of prime retail sites in York, forming part of their £250 million regeneration of the city centre.
  • Acting Landlord side in the lettings on key mix use sites across Yorkshire, with rental income on some of the leases exceeding half a million.
  • Acting for an international virtual golf provider in high value sites in London and across the UK.
  • Acting for Bensons for Beds on an on-going basis for all their portfolio management requirements.
