I specialise in advising NHS organisations and medical professionals in clinical negligence claims including neurosurgical, vascular, orthopaedic, psychiatric and obstetric claims.
My aim is always to reach the best possible resolution for the client while approaching claims with sensitivity given the issues often at play in such claims.
Collaboration and respect are at the forefront of my interactions, appreciating that litigation is an inherently difficult process for all involved, including claimants and clinicians. This approach can help foster better outcomes for all parties, as is a key value for our clients.
What I find most rewarding in my role is when detailed analysis and proactivity pays off; a deep understanding and accurate judgment in the most complex cases from an early stage often leads to optimal and efficient outcomes.
My experience
- Trial win, acting for Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS FT. It was a sensitive claim with a number of clinicians involved in the consultant led care, and a procedurally complicated start to trial.
- Fundamental dishonesty pleading with successful outcome.
