About me
I'm a dedicated clinical negligence lawyer, who has worked exclusively in this field throughout my legal career. I act on behalf of NHS Resolution and its members, investigating and advising on claims for negligent medical treatment brought by and on behalf of patients.
I advise on a range of claims including those involving cerebral palsy, brachial plexus injury, cauda equina, amputations and maternal obstetric injuries.
Having worked for the NHS before I became a lawyer, I truly understand the world my clients live in. This allows me to give nuanced guidance, tailored to address the exact challenge my clients face.
The relationships I build are crucial to me. I make sure everyone I work with, from case managers to clinicians to support colleagues, have their voices heard, so together, we reach meaningful outcomes.
I take any opportunity I can to meet staff in person, so I can learn from their experiences, as well as help them understand how claims work and why they may be involved.
I also deliver talks and training to NHS Trusts on topics like record keeping, statement writing and the claims and litigation process, so they can confidently face whatever the future brings. Along with this, I mentor law students at the University of Liverpool.
My experience
- Spent five years in the claimant sector, handling a broad range of NHS and private claims.
- Qualified in 2011 at a specialist dental negligence firm.
- Worked for an NHS trust in Liverpool for two years before entering the legal field.
