About me
I’m a partner, a solicitor-advocate and head of the firm’s national Healthcare and Public Law team. I’m also a member of the LLP board and head of the firm’s London office as well as being an equality and diversity lead.
With more than 30 years of experience in NHS and public sector work, I’m ranked as a leader and an expert in my field, known for my depth of experience in all aspects of healthcare-related law. My practice is very broad with a particular focus on human rights, medical ethics, court of protection (serious medical treatment cases), judicial review challenges, governance, inquiries and investigations, public consultation, NHS commissioning and practitioner performance.
I principally represent the NHS (acute sector and primary care) and private healthcare providers, including NHS England and the Care Quality Commission.
I seek to work in partnership with clients and collaboratively focus on their needs to provide solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Clients value my in-depth appreciation and understanding of the NHS, good judgment, responsiveness and availability - and knowing that I’m always prepared to go the extra mile.
I’m passionate about what I do, inspired from an early age, in part, by Atticus Finch, the principal character in To Kill A Mockingbird, still my all-time favourite book.
