About me

I’m a maritime law specialist, who focuses mainly on cases involving charterparty and bills of lading disputes, while I also support on multi-jurisdictional disputes like arrest proceedings against vessels. I mostly work with shipowners and P&I Clubs, and also advise charterers.

My role is to weigh in on the merits of claims, assist with negotiations and then represent clients in arbitration or court proceedings, doing everything in my power to secure a successful result.

The qualities which underpin my practice are transparency, effective communication and commercial awareness. A natural team player, I seek to gain a thorough understanding of the client’s commercial sensitivities, needs and goals, then offer the clear, pragmatic insight clients need to act decisively.

I’m the type of person who doesn’t give up. When challenges arise, I get creative, finding innovative ways to press forward, so clients can achieve their aims while keeping things running smoothly.

My experience

  • Experience of handling charterparty and bills of lading disputes.
  • Extensive experience in arbitration as well as court proceedings.
  • Outside of maritime law, has handled cases of shareholders/directors disputes.
  • Undertook two secondments with two P&I Clubs.
