About me
I’m a corporate lawyer with a focus on private equity, high growth businesses and mergers and acquisitions.
I operate nationally from a North East base and support institutional investors, shareholders, management teams and companies on a range of corporate matters across a broad range of sectors.
I derive a great deal of satisfaction from advising clients across the full deal life cycle, from initial investment and bolt-on acquisitions to large-scale exits. Being involved throughout means I’m able to support clients at every stage of complex transactions with clarity, confidence and a commercial understanding of their desired objectives.
There’s no better reward than helping shareholders of an owner-managed business to crystallise the value of their many years of dedicated hard work - whether through a merger, sale or private equity investment. Although I operate on a national basis, I take great pride in contributing to transactions that drive sustainable growth and investment in the North East.
My experience
- Acting for Foresight Group on its investment in Isocom Components 2004 Limited.
- Acting for Growth Partner on its investment in Stubble & Co, and its investment in, and restructure of, Crafter’s Companion Limited.
- Advising the shareholders of one of the largest independent steel stockholders and leading steel processing centres in the UK on its sale to Breal Capital network.
- Advising and assisting management on the leveraged management buyout of eQS Group and a simultaneous bolt on acquisition, followed by a buy and build strategy.
- Supporting Northumberland Estates on various investments into Cussins Homes, Wynyard Homes, Alncom and Silent Pool Gin Distillery.
- Assisting shareholders on the sale of Workwear Express to Bunzl plc.
