About me
I’m a legal director in the firm’s Real Estate team advising clients on all aspects of real estate finance and commercial property, so my clients are typically banks, lenders, borrowers, investors, landlords and tenants.
My focus is on secured lending transactions and commercial lease work.
My personal style is friendly and approachable but with an ever-watchful eye for detail. It’s important to me that I establish from the outset what my client wants to achieve on any given matter so I can adapt my approach to prioritise and accommodate that.
Being a member of Women in Property and experiencing how things operate client-side, having previously completed a six-month secondment with a banking client, all help me to be a well-rounded lawyer. The reward for me comes from building strong and enduring client relationships - nothing beats the job satisfaction of guiding a client towards a successful outcome.
My experience
- Advising the lender on a £38 million financing of portfolio of Novotel/Mercure/IBIS hotels with a further £35.5 million refinancing with the same borrower and the inclusion of further hotels into the security net.
- Ongoing assistance to a high street bank that has a £30 million RCF in place with a renowned national developer in relation to various properties being brought into the RCF and property legal matters that arise during the term of the development loan.
- Advising the purchaser of a multi-let building in Central Square in Leeds and thereafter assisting with lease renewals and wayleaves.
- During the 2024/25 financial year I advised a landlord client on a restructure of its existing portfolio of leases and I also advised various tenants of retail and/or office units in Picadilly Circus, Oxford Circus and Bank.
- During 2022, I completed a 6-month secondment with the REF legal team at HSBC.
