About me
I’m a partner in Hill Dickinson’s Employment & Immigration team and serve as National Head of Education. I advise clients across the education and commercial sectors, from academy trusts and colleges to national employers, helping them resolve complex workplace issues with clarity and confidence.
My focus includes discrimination, whistleblowing and union matters, and I regularly act as an Employment Tribunal advocate. I also support schools and trusts with governance, safeguarding, admissions and legal compliance, building trusted partnerships that last beyond any single issue.
Clients value my pragmatic, objective-driven approach and know I’ll always focus on their wider goals. I’m also passionate about improving access to the legal profession and supporting others to reach their potential.
Away from work, I live in Merseyside with my wife and two children. I’m a fan of Coldplay, John Grisham novels and big family adventures. A recent trip to Australia a particular highlight.
My experience
- I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
- I am an experienced Tribunal Advocate.
- I was involved in the creation of some of the earliest academy trusts.
- I was involved in one of the first voluntary recognition agreements in the academy sector negotiated and agreed through the TUC.
- I have worked with a multi-academy trust from its initial creation right up to becoming a national academy trust with over 35 schools.
