About me
As Co-Head of International Finance, I specialise in debt finance, with a particular focus on emerging markets and developmental finance. I work across multiple sectors and financial instruments.
My clients include development finance institutions, large commercial banks and borrowers. For me, it’s always about putting commercial strategy first, which then informs my approach to legal advice. Nothing is more important than the deal completing.
Having worked at the African Development Bank and Standard Chartered, I bring private sector insight that helps me stay on the same wavelength as my clients. They often describe me as practical and solutions-oriented, which is exactly what I aim for.
Outside of work, I’m a member of ORRAA, supporting coastal communities impacted by climate change, and I also hold advisory roles in transition finance. It’s important to me that my work makes a difference – both in the boardroom and beyond.
My experience
- Represented African Development Bank on a $1 billon de-risking instrument linked to a portfolio of sustainable agricultural assets throughout Africa.
- Represented Bank of America in the amendment and extension of a $1 billion revolving credit facility for corporate purposes, for a major financial and commodity derivative exchange.
- Represented a UK Borrower on a £483 million distribution facility with a Middle Eastern State.
- Represented Carribean Payment Solutions with their $200 million discounting facility with the Government of Bahamas and Afrexim.
- Represented African Development Bank on $4 million co-guarantee instrument with AFFM which allowed loans to be made to small produce farmers in Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Morocco.
- Represented a private fund on a $100 million facility to create and distribute portable solar panels in Cameroon.
