About me
As a partner in the Commodities team, I specialise in the energy sector, metals and structured trade finance, with an energy sector focus on the midstream and downstream oil and associated tanker markets, ie crude, products and chemicals.
Accordingly, my clients are predominantly oil traders and financiers.
My practice is tightly focused on dispute resolution and transactional matters, so my role as an adviser is to understand their needs in the context of the issues they’re seeking help on and finding practical solutions.
It’s a point of pride that my clients often view me as their business adviser as opposed to an external lawyer, which is a reflection of the many longstanding relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years.
I’m always keen to pass my accumulated experience on, helping to nurture the next generation of talent, not only as an informal mentor to junior colleagues at work but as a father to my own children, who are one of my biggest motivations in life and continually inspire me.
