About me
I’m a Consultant Solicitor working with the firm’s Restructuring and Insolvency team to deliver commercial solutions to directors, funders and stakeholders of distressed businesses.
In practice, I help businesses in financial difficulty or in the aftermath of a business failure to navigate what is usually a very stressful situation and find simple solutions to complex problems.
As someone with experience earlier in my career of establishing and heading up a specialist restructuring team, it’s an area I understand very well. It’s also a distinct advantage that I’m both a solicitor and a qualified insolvency practitioner, able to draw on my dual qualifications to identify the best, most pragmatic, commercial solutions.
Clients appreciate that I’m commercial in my approach, innovative in finding solutions and able to provide them with clear advice through good communication skills.
My experience
- Qualified as solicitor in 1987 and as an insolvency practitioner in 2001.
- Acted for management on the £48m purchase of retail chain from administrators.
- Acted for the administrators on the sale of a national foodstuff manufacturer.
- Advised numerous directors in director disqualification proceedings.
- Acted for both the office holders and also directors in numerous proceedings brought to challenge antecedent transactions.
