About me

I’m a construction lawyer specialising in contentious construction law with a particular focus on adjudication, adjudication enforcement and Part 8 claims.

My clients are developers, contractors and sub-contractors and I regularly represent parties bringing and defending notified sum, delay, liquidated damage and loss and expense claims. I also represent parties in Technology and Construction court litigation as well as arbitration and mediation.

My approach to any new client instruction is both strategic and forensic, with the aim of achieving the best commercial outcome for the client, whether that’s a settlement or a decision from a tribunal. I think it’s important to remember that businesses are so more than just companies. They’re people, livelihoods, sometimes even families, so I find it extremely rewarding to represent and help preserve those businesses. I’m certainly not afraid to take on a difficult case!

Away from work, I put my particular enthusiasm for notified sum disputes to good use, providing free construction payment training to those involved in the built environment.

I’m also a regular contributor to the Adjudication Society Newsletter.
