About me

I’m an associate in the Commercial team in Leeds, specialising in data protection, intellectual property and technology-related contracts. I support clients on everything from international data transfers and DSARs to software agreements, licensing and IP strategy.

My clients include NHS trusts, health tech companies, start-ups, consultancies and professional services firms, and I regularly advise on commercial, data and IP aspects of M&A transactions.

My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I work closely with clients to help simplify complex legal concepts and deliver practical solutions that support their wider commercial goals.

I also create and deliver bespoke training for businesses, especially in the healthtech sector, and contribute to the Propel Healthtech Accelerator, supporting international companies landing in the UK.

I studied Law at Newcastle University before completing the LPC at BPP University in Leeds. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling having backpacked through China, Southeast Asia and Japan.

My experience

  • Data protection advice and support (including data processing/sharing agreements, international data transfer mechanisms, privacy policies/cookies policies/DSARs, etc).
  • Intellectual property advice and support (including assignments and licences, advice around strategy, ownership and collaboration, etc).
  • Commercial contract advice/technology-based contracts experience (including terms of use, service agreements, SaaS agreements/software acquisition agreements, etc).
  • Experience with the creation and provision of training for businesses on intellectual property and data protection matters (including for start-ups in the healthtech space and e-sport sector).
  • Supporting the award-winning healthtech accelerator Propel, supporting international healthtech companies land in the UK.
  • Advising public and private sector clients across a broad range of sectors and experience with M&A support from a commercial, IP and data protection perspective.
