About me
I’m a legal director in our Health Litigation team in Manchester, specialising in high-value, complex clinical negligence claims.
The majority of my work is representing NHS trusts via instructions from NHS Resolution, the body that supports the NHS in understanding claims risk profiles, assisting with patient safety activities and preserving resources for patient care.
I have lectured on various topics to clients and have arranged a number of the firm’s NHS Resolution claims, patient safety forums and facilitated the North West Litigation Group meetings.
Before specialising in litigation on behalf of defendant trusts, I spent some years as a claimant solicitor so I’ve gained valuable insight into both perspectives and always aim to deal with cases swiftly and sympathetically.
I approach each new case by gaining a clear understanding of the key issues, then providing clear, concise and appropriately tailored advice. I never forget how difficult and daunting the litigation process can be for those involved, so it’s rewarding when I’m able to achieve the most practical and satisfactory outcome for a client.
Related to my work as a healthcare lawyer, I’m also passionate about supporting The Christie, the nominated charity of our Manchester office.
