About me

As an Employment Law partner, I specialise in contentious and non-contentious employment matters and employment issues arising out of business immigration.

My work spans the full employment life cycle, from recruitment and retention, including diversity and inclusion, to restructures, business protection, and employment disputes - such as redundancies and changes to terms and conditions. On business immigration, I advise on UKVI checks, record maintenance and penalties and immigration-related employment issues.

My track record includes managing several high profile and large-scale employment projects for household names, often in tandem and in very short timescales. It’s essential when working at pace that I stay solution-focused and close to the client, evaluating any pros and cons while also putting forward my considered view on how best to proceed.

I love my area of work and am passionate about knowledge-sharing, which is why you’ll often find me speaking at employment conferences and client training events.

My experience

  • Member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
  • Advised a large outsourcing plc in relation to hundreds of equal pay claims emanating from local authority TUPE transfers.
  • Successfully defended challenges against a large plc by self-employed contractors, who alleged they should be reclassified as workers and employees and therefore receive pay and benefits as such.
  • Regular guest speaker at third party events on topics such as IR35 and discrimination in the workplace.
  • Project managed a team of lawyers on three simultaneous large-scale projects to deliver advice on over 600 agreements with a very short space of time.
