About me

As an Associate in our Monaco office, I specialise in all aspects of superyacht law. My practice focuses on advising international yacht owners on sale and purchase transactions, new-build projects, ownership structures, flagging, and the full spectrum of yacht-related commercial agreements.

I also have experience in contentious matters, including: disputes against shipyards relating to new-builds, charter disputes and insurance claims relating to yacht fires and collisions.

My approach is responsive, practical and commercially minded, with an emphasis on providing clear, solution-oriented advice that supports clients beyond the strict legal brief.

Before qualifying as a lawyer, I worked as a deckhand/stewardess on a busy charter yacht and later as a chief stewardess on a private motor yacht. This hands-on industry experience gives me unique insight into yacht operation and management, as well as the challenges faced by owners, crews and managers alike. I have developed a strong network within the sector and serve as Vice President of Young Professionals in Yachting (London chapter).

Outside the office, some of my most memorable experiences include surfing and canyoning in the Philippines, bungee jumping over the Ottawa River in Canada, and scuba diving with hammerhead sharks in the Galápagos Islands.

My experience

  • Advising on various legal and operational aspects of an extensive global itinerary for a client’s 110m+ motor yacht and 65m+ support vessel, covering more than 20 ports worldwide, including some of the world’s most remote jurisdictions.
  • Assisting a client in negotiating the construction contract for a 90m+ Feadship new-build yacht.
  • Advising a client on the full negotiation and build process for a CDM new-build yacht, from contract stage through to successful delivery.
  • Vice President of Young Professionals in Yachting.
