About me

I support my clients in developing commercial and regulatory solutions for their operations, products, and services. I also help them to avoid and resolve disputes with customers, suppliers, regulators and the wider public.

My areas of expertise include information governance, public law, regulation, commissioning, and dispute resolution – particularly in the health, care and life sciences sectors.

I work with a broad spectrum of public and private organisations including health and care providers, technology companies, commissioners, regulators and national quangos.

I take the time to understand each client’s objectives and challenges, so I can offer them tailored guidance.

Clients describe my legal expertise as “exceptional,” but what sets me apart is my down-to-earth, responsive approach. I give clear, decisive advice, while being honest and realistic about risks, so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.

Building strong relationships is crucial. I aim to be the trusted advisor clients rely on, no matter how complex their challenges. Playing a key role in helping them achieve their goals is what makes my work so rewarding.

I support local charities, taking part in fundraisers like Tough Mudder and the 10 Peaks Challenge to help tackle homelessness and improve cancer care in the community.

My experience

  • Developed compliance solutions for technology start-ups entering complex markets and regulatory frameworks, including AI deployment at the NHS frontline.
  • Advised a multinational pharmaceutical company from India on introducing and distributing a novel medical device in the UK.
  • Conducted data protection and regulatory due diligence for buyers, sellers, and investors in corporate transactions, including the sale of care homes, private hospital chains, and investment into an online pharmacy.
  • Advised research institutions on clinical trials and data research, including multi-site global studies and international data registries aimed at combating disease and discovering new treatments.
  • Advised the NHS on national policies, statutory guidance, and legislative reform, including public involvement and consultation, and the introduction of the statutory medical examiner system in the UK.
  • Successfully pursued and defended judicial reviews, commercial disputes, and regulatory appeals – including two Court of Appeal cases now considered leading precedents on NHS contract management.
